Privacy Policy

Oryn ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we handle when you use our website and the Oryn desktop application.

Your code stays on your machine

Oryn is a desktop application. It runs on your computer and works directly with the project folders you open. We do not collect, transmit, or store your source code.

• If you choose a local model with Ollama, everything stays on your machine — nothing leaves your computer.
• If you connect a cloud AI model with your own API key, your prompts and selected context are sent directly to that provider (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Groq) under their privacy policy. We are not in that loop.

Information we do handle

• Purchase data: Payments are processed by Gumroad. We receive your email address and license details from Gumroad to deliver your license — we never see your card details.
• License validation: To prevent piracy, we store your license key and a machine fingerprint so the app can verify your license.
• Support & inquiries: If you email us or use our contact form, we receive the name, email, and message you provide, so we can reply.
• Basic website usage: Standard, non-identifying analytics may be collected by our hosting provider.

Third-party services

We rely on Gumroad (payments & delivery), Netlify (website hosting & form handling), and email providers (support). Each has its own privacy policy.

Your choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold (your support emails and license email) by contacting us. We keep data only as long as needed to provide the product and support.
